Christian response to the recent riots in England?
I've been tweeting a lot about the recent riots and there seems to be a lot of confusion about how to respond to them, with people veering between pity for the "poor" and "deprived" and anger at "idiots" and "yobs".
Can anyone suggest what a good Christian response to the riots and rioters might be?

With great dismay, I saw the events in London and England. In Germany, many citizens are worried too. Would that be possible here? A question I hear often.
Sure strictness is needed. But this may be everything? Perhaps social structures must be changed.
What should I do as a Christian? First, I should take the worries in prayer before God. I think we need to pray for evildoers and victims.
Man is created good by God. God wants us to be good. In the good in every person we have to appeal.
I know these are my thoughts from afar. Even as a theologian, I am helpless before this situation. I remember you in prayer. God bless you all!

On Wednesday my mother died. My sister and I were there. We prayed again with our mother. Then she fell asleep peacefully in the arms of my sister. Our pastor arrived a short time later. He spoke again the blessing over our mother. The funeral will be next Friday. I ask for your prayers for our mother and us, in this time of parting.See More
