Being adult in Britain is like having an amputated limb: we're regarded as if we've lost our sense of fun, our ability to play and our sense of humour.

My name is Lynda, I am 58 and I am a fun addict. I have no intention of giving up the fun elements in my life and I'm sure there are many other adults like me.

I love online fun stuff like playing games, doing wordsearches and crossword puzzles, decorating virtual Easter eggs or Christmas trees. I can happily waste hours this way especially when I should be doing the ironing or weeding my garden.

There is so little like that on Christian websites for adults, however, that most of the links I've managed to find for fun stuff are now in the Playspace group not here.

The only two possibilities I found for adults are:

http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~kvdoel/bellsJavaSound/bells.html
Do some bell ringing: change the peals as you choose.

http://www.reverendfun.com
Cartoons based on Bible stories or the church.

If anyone finds any good clean fun adult Christian websites, please add them in here.

Smeagologists

Once someone asked me “What is a Smeagologist?” My reply was simply, “Whatever you want it to be!” Seeing as I invented the name, I think I have a right to decide that it be a neutral term that is based roughly upon one’s emergence in a society that is progressively reductionist and bordering on Nihilism on one side and Contemplation on the other, I prefer the Contemplative side but attend most vigorously to the other seeing as our pale blue dot is gradually disappearing and who knows one day…See More

I ask for your prayers.

On Wednesday my mother died. My sister and I were there. We prayed again with our mother. Then she fell asleep peacefully in the arms of my sister. Our pastor arrived a short time later. He spoke again the blessing over our mother. The funeral will be next Friday. I ask for your prayers for our mother and us, in this time of parting.See More

Jumping in Bacton Wood

It's so great to be able to jump after so many years of walking and sitting and standing. LOL
