In 2005,I planted a miniature apple tree, which was advertised as producing full-size fruit.
In the summer of 2006, a year earlier than I'd expected, it gallantly bore one (delicious) apple.
Since then, nothing.
All my other fruit trees and bushes produce tons of goodies. My whole garden runs rampant with veg, herbs, flowers and weeds. Only my poor apple tree has been silent for three long years.
But yesterday, I saw 14 applets tucked away neatly on there.
14. An apple a day: a fortnight's worth of apples.
My 14 applets have filled me with joy (and, hopefully, will fill me with apple crumble later this year).

Yes, I've watched Morning Prayer. It's a wonderful and positive way to start the day.

Words of The Day

Psalm 118    1    O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever. 2    Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever. 3    Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever. 4    Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever. 5    I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.…See More
