Mystery Plays
Wouldn't it be interesting to start a London Cycle of Mystery Plays?
All the great Mystery Play cycles are from up north - York, Wakefield and Chester. The furthest south that any were written was the East Midlands.
I remember in my childhood and youth seeing our local Mystery Plays, set against the beautiful backdrop of Furness Abbey.
I would love to see some here in London.
I can visualise Abraham about to sacrifice Isaac on Henry Moore's altar in St Stephen Walbrook and the altar used as Golgotha, the reredos area used as a Bethlehem stable.

I ask for your prayers.
On Wednesday my mother died. My sister and I were there. We prayed again with our mother. Then she fell asleep peacefully in the arms of my sister. Our pastor arrived a short time later. He spoke again the blessing over our mother. The funeral will be next Friday. I ask for your prayers for our mother and us, in this time of parting.See More
