2    Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

3    Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

Gift of Salvation

I am writing to you to let you know the depths of God’s love for you. Yes, you. No matter whom you are, or what you have done, or, are doing presently. God still loves you and wants you close to Him. (John 3:16 )says: For god so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish , but have everlasting…

Rev. Donald A Davis Words of The Day

Jesus Christ Gives the Great Commission.

When someone is dying or leaving us, we pay close attention to his or her last words. Jesus Christ left the disciples with some last words of instructions. God gave Jesus Christ complete authority over heaven and earth. On the basis of His authority, Jesus Christ told His disciples to go and make disciples as they preached, baptized, and taught.

Making disciples means instructing new believers on…

Rev. Donald A Davis Words of The Day

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins. I acknowledge that I have sinned and I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus Christ came to give me life and by faith I now choose to receive You into my life as my Lord and Savior. By the power of Your indwelling presence enable me to be the person You created me to be. I pray that You would grant me repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth so that I can experience my freedom in Jesus…

When We Pray

(Matthew 6:5-6) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. 6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in…

Living Victoriously

(1 John 5:4)For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

Victorious living is just the daily experience of a soul full with Jesus Christ and running over. How do we…

Overcoming fear

(John 14:27) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Fear is a God-given natural response when our physical or psychological safety is threatened. Courage is not the absence of fear, but it is living by faith and doing what is right in the face of illegitimate fear objects. Solomon said: The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge… Continue

Edward Eagle What do I seek?

Help! - What do I seek?

I have a sense of need, a sense of want

What I seek or what I need though, I do not know

This sense of need has been gnawing at me for several weeks

It grows like a tumor, increasing in magnitude every day

It is almost as if I am fighting an ever increasing magnet,

pulling me in an unknown direction

Pulling me where and for what purpose?

Perhaps God will point the way or perhaps God IS the way

Take…

Our Father

The Hebrew word for father is ab (pronounced awb) meaning chief, patrimony and principal. The Greek word for father is pater (pronounced pat-ayr) meaning father or parent. The Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictationary Tenth Edition defines father as a man who has begotten a child; God the First Person of the Trinity; or one that originates or institutes.

A large part of our society does not reflect the order of God had originally given. Society has tried to… Continue

Rev. Donald A Davis New Year's Message

New Year’s Message:

Praise is to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:

As we enter into a New Year, we must look back at the trials and tribulations that some of us had been through and then make an assessment of our lives and ask ourselves; what have we accomplished? What could we have done better? Are we fulfilled?

Maybe some of us accomplished material things. Some of us are not able to say if and what we could have done better. Some of us believe that because we have… Continue

Where are the Children?

( 1 Samuels 1:18-28)

18And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.

19And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.

20Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she… Continue

Who could have imagined such a thing ever happening?

"It was a trivial problem that occurs every year," Bethlehem police Lt-Col Khaled al-Tamimi told Reuters.

"No one was arrested because all those involved were men of God," he said.

Isaiah 60:1-22 (Good News Translation)

God’s Word Goes Forth: Spread Tidings of Joy to Everyone

Introduction

Isaiah 60:1-22: Today we begin reading the first of three oracles pertaining to the restoration and transformation of Jerusalem. The city had been destroyed by foreigners in 586 B.C. because of God’s anger, but foreigners will now help rebuild the city because of God’s favor and mercy. Those who had been living in exile will return home. The city will…

Rev. Donald A Davis Words of The Day

Safe in God

Sometimes we take things lightly. Billy Graham once said that we do not understand the intricate pattern of the stars in their courses, but we know that He who created them does, and that just as surely as He guides them, He is charting a safe course for us.

(Proverbs 3:25-26) Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it…

Forgiveness

(Luke 6:35-36)But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

As Christians we are called to be merciful just as our heavenly Father is merciful and forgive others as…

Edward Eagle Love not lost

Amazingly love is not lost.

I still feel the same as I did in June, I just had not realised it.

Love does not wane, it is for ever there.

I guess that love is...

The willingness and ability to allow those that one loves to do as they please,

without any insistance that they satisfy you.

I ask nothing of God, yet feel God's warmth

God has asked nothing of me and therefore accepts me for who and what I am

For this, I am deeply…

Bob Kee A prayer for All Saints' Day

Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

Bob Kee A random quote and random reflection on Reformation Sunday 2011

After all, the very name ‘Protestantism’ is meant to denote a reform movement of protest within the Church Catholic. When Protestantism becomes an end in itself ... it becomes anathema. If we no longer have broken hearts at the church’s division, then we cannot help but unfaithfully celebrate Reformation Sunday.

- Stanley Hauerwas

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in…
