Interregnum
Last Sunday's traditional service was taken by our young friendly curate, learning his trade. We are awaiting our next vicar later this year, and everyone is pulling together, as is usual in interregnums ( ..na?).
It always strikes me that the CE has an excellent system of training, teaching its curates not only the mechanics but also the politics of church life.
Perhaps this is expressed in our theology: God is not only Divine but also Human. Church life is both spiritual and worldly, and they meet in Christ.

On Wednesday my mother died. My sister and I were there. We prayed again with our mother. Then she fell asleep peacefully in the arms of my sister. Our pastor arrived a short time later. He spoke again the blessing over our mother. The funeral will be next Friday. I ask for your prayers for our mother and us, in this time of parting.See More
